Empleo informal y subempleo en el Ecuador período 2013-2017

Abstract

El subempleo es un indicador laboral que ocurre cuando la persona es capacitada y no está ocupado plenamente, opta por buscar trabajos con menos remuneración y sin acceso a los beneficios sociales y una de las razones es por fallas estructurales de la economía de un país. El objetivo de la investigación es analizar la evolución y la estructura del empleo informal y el subempleo en el Ecuador durante el periodo 2013-2017, para ello se fortaleció el aprendizaje cognitivo al desarrollar el marco teórico, a eso se suma la aplicación de una metodología cuantitativa, método descriptivo y el modelo econométrico de mínimos cuadrados. Al cruzar los variables se identificó que el desempleo, sector informal son significativos, por cada persona que se ubica en el desempleo, el subempleo aumenta en 4 personas y de ellas al menos tres son parte del sector informal. En los últimos años los gobiernos de turno se han trazado como objetivo reducir el desempleo, y emiten en cifras la disminución, pero se evidencia que el subempleo se ha incrementado, es decir, existen personas que están recibiendo menos ingresos, pero tienen empleo no pleno.

Underemployment is a work indicator that occurs when the person is trained but not fully enrolled, so he or she opts for jobs with less remuneration and without access to social benefits and one of the reasons is structural failures of a country's economy. The objective of the research is to analyze the evolution and structure of informal employment and underemployment in Ecuador during the period 2013-2017. For this, the cognitive learning was strengthened by developing the theoretical framework, to which it is added the application of a quantitative methodology, a descriptive method and the econometric model of least squares. When crossing the variables, it was identified that unemployment and the informal sector are significant; for each person unemployed, underemployment increases by 4 people and at least three of them are part of the informal sector. In recent years, the current governments have set themselves the objective of reducing unemployment, and they emit the decrease in figures, but it is evident that underemployment has increased, that is, there are people who are receiving less income, but have not full employment.
