Plan de aprovechamiento de los recursos turísticos del cantón Sigchos, provincia de Cotopaxi

Abstract

La presente investigación se centra en un plan de aprovechamiento de los recursos naturales y culturales del cantón Sigchos, con la finalidad de realizar una propuesta turística que permita la sostenibilidad, aplicando varias teorías como; los doce componentes, para conocer el estado actual de los recursos, teoría del perfil de consumidor para conocer el turista que visita Sigchos y la teoría sobre la mejor forma de aprovechamiento de los recursos con la creación de una ruta turística. En cuanto a la metodología se aplicaron encuestas que permitieron recolectar información necesaria para la investigación. Se concluyó que la zona de estudio posee gran potencial para el desarrollo de actividades turísticas, también se determinó que existe un perfil de turista interesado en visitar el cantón Sigchos, finalmente se establece que la mejor forma de aprovechar los recursos de la zona es mediante la creación de una ruta turística que involucre tanto atractivos naturales, como culturales (tangibles e intangibles), esto con la finalidad de rescatar las costumbres, tradiciones y gastronomía que presenta el cantón Sigchos.

This research focuses on an improvement plan in order to externalize the resources of the Sigchos canton, applying several theories such as: theory of the twelve components, to know the current state of the resources, consumer profile theory to know the tourist who visits Sigchos and the theory on the best way to use the resources with the creation of a tourist route. Regarding the methodology, surveys were applied that allowed collecting information necessary for the investigation. It was concluded that the study area has great potential for the development of tourist activities, it was also determined that there is a profile of tourists interested in visiting the Sigchos canton and finally it was established that the best way to take advantage of the resources of the area is the creation of a tourist route that involves both natural and cultural attractions (tangible and intangible), this in order to rescue the customs, traditions and gastronomy of the Sigchos canton.
